How to Organize a Tasting
Curious to see what people think of a beer when all biases are removed? Hosting a mystery tasting is a great way to help you and those participating learn more about a beer.
Step 1: Add Beers to Your Tasting
- Head to Manage Your Tastings → Manage Products in My Tasting to start adding beers for your mystery tasting.
- Select Add Beer and search for the beers you’d like to include. If a beer isn’t listed, you can easily add it!
- You can include up to 26 beers to your tasting. Once added, each beer will get a letter randomly assigned to it to identify it in the mystery tasting.
Step 2: Toggle Beer Visibility
You’ll see a few letters on the screen, each representing a beer in the tasting. Choose a letter and, if you’re at a venue, order that beer by showing the letter to your server. If you have a flight, grab the beer marked with the selected letter.
Step 3: Label the Beers
- If you’re a craft beverage venue with beers on tap, mark the taps with the corresponding letters assigned in the tasting.
- For canned beers, our Khuva Mystery Beer Sleeves are perfect for labeling!
STEP 4: Manage Tasting Visibility
Want to make your tasting public? Go to Manage Your Tastings → Manage My Tasting Visibility & Details. Toggle the event to Public and add details of your tasting and venue to share your tasting with a wider audience.
STEP 5: Invite Tasters
You’re all set! Invite tasters by sharing your event’s QR code or link. Go to Manage Your Tastings → Invite Tasters to get the QR code or link. If your event is public, it will also appear on our public listing for others to join.
